Name Change FAQs

Will the name change affect my existing accounts (savings, checking, loans, etc.)?
Do I need to update my account details or sign any new documents?
Will my account numbers, debit/credit card numbers, or routing numbers change?
Will I still have access to my account through online banking and the mobile app?
Will my direct deposit and automatic bill payments continue as usual?
Do I need to get a new debit or credit card with the name name and logo?
Will I still be able to use my current check, or will new ones be issues?

As a member of Finanta Credit Union there is nothing you need to do at this time – you will still be able to access your accounts and banking services as you prefer: in-branch, in app, or online. Over the next few weeks and months, you will begin to see changes as we embrace our new name like new signage in the branch and a new logo on your statements, app, and online banking platforms.

All of your accounts, and the products and services you know, and trust will remain just as they are, continuing to meet your needs under the new Finanta Credit Union name.

Is anything else about the business changing?

While we are changing our name, our mission, vision, and values haven’t changed. And nothing about our organization, management, or existing products and services you’ve come to depend on over the years has changed.

We’ll continue to offer loans to small businesses, community-focused real estate developers, and microloans to budding entrepreneurs through our innovative Affinity Group Lending program.

We will also be opening new branches of our credit union, or Cooperativa Finanta, and expanding our financial services to consumers. In addition to Lancaster, we will be opening a branch in Reading and expect to open our first Philadelphia branch in 2025.

Why is the credit union changing its name to Finanta Credit Union?

We are changing our name from Community First Fund Credit Union to Finanta Credit Union (also known as Cooperativa Finanta in Spanish) to give consumers a simpler, easier brand name to say, remember and repeat.

When will the name change officially take place?

Our name change went into effect on November 15, 2024.

Does this name change affect the ownership or management of the credit union? Is the credit union merging with another company?

No, there is no change of ownership or management, and we are not merging with another company.

Will there be any downtime or disruptions in services (online banking, ATMs, mobile app) during the transition?
Will there be any changes to branch locations or hours of operation?
Will the phone numbers or customer service contacts change after the name change?
Can I still use the same website and mobile app after the name change?
Will there be any changes to the products and services offered by the credit union?

We don’t anticipate any downtime or disruptions. Our hours, phone numbers, website login, and mobile app will all stay the same, as do all of the products and services you’ve come to know and appreciate. If any action needs to be taken, we will be sure to inform you in a timely manner.

Is my money still safe after the name change?
Is my account still insured by the NCUA?
Do I need to be concerned about the security of my personal information during this transition?
Will my current loan agreements, interest rates, and terms be affected by the name change?

All deposits are insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA (National Credit Union Association). You don’t need to worry at all about the security of your personal information, we continue to adhere to the highest standards of cyber security, and your current loan agreements, interest rates, and terms will all remain the same.

How will I be notified of any changes related to my account during this process?
Who can I contact if I have questions or concerns about the name change?

We don’t anticipate any changes to your account due to our name change; if anything does change at any time you will receive proper notice via mail, email, text, and/or electronically through your app/online account. If you have further questions that were not answered here, you can call into the branch and talk with our team members at (833) 888-0978.

Will I receive new communication materials (statements, emails) with the new name on them?

Over the next few months, you will begin to see changes as we embrace our new name like new signage in the branch and a new logo on your statements, app, and online banking platforms. You will now be able to go to www.finantacreditunion.com to access your online banking services.
