What is Finanta Credit Union? What makes it different from other banks or credit unions?

Finanta Credit Union was built with our communities in mind. We care about your story and your goals. Which is why we meet you where you are – whether you are a entrepreneur, new to the country, starting over, or just looking for a place that actually listens. Our bilingual team understands you and is here to help you succeed.

Finanta Credit Union is a federally chartered credit union based in downtown Lancaster. Founded by local nonprofit lender Finanta, we provide financial products and services, modern banking features and personalized member relationships to our community.

How do I become a member?

 Finanta Credit Union operates with a Multiple Common Bond charter which allows us to offer membership to anyone who meets one of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Occupational Eligibility:  Current employee of Finanta or Berks Latino Workforce Development.
  • Association Eligibility:  Obtained through membership or employment in a qualified association, either Community Impact Fund or Financial Fitness Association.  Finanta Credit Union will process your membership directly, free of charge, and help you receive the benefits included with your association membership.
  • Immediate Family Eligibility:  Obtained through having an immediate family member who is an existing Finanta Credit Union member.  For the purposes of membership eligibility “Immediate Family” is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild, also including stepparent, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships. 
  • Household Eligibility:  Persons living in the same residence who maintain a single economic unit.  All individuals in the household that share financial responsibilities and resources, this may include live-in nannies, domestic workers, and foster children.
What are your business hours?

Our business hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Fridays from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

What kind of products are available right now?

We offer the following products: savings accounts, checking accounts, business accounts and consumer loans. Business loans are available through our founding organization Finanta.

Is my money safe?

Yes, all deposits are insured up to $250,000 by the NCUSIF (National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund).

Do you have online and/or mobile banking?

Yes. Once you open an account, you can enroll in online banking and download our mobile app.

I don't have a Social Security number. Can I still join?

Yes. We accept ITINs and other forms of identification.

How much do I need to open an account?

Just $5. That stays in your savings and keeps your membership active.
